I was cleaning my post closet so to speak and found that I hadn't published this when it was written almost a year ago! Maybe I will find more?
I wrote this three weeks ago but didn't post it because I had much more to say and not enough time to say it at that moment. Now I have no idea what else I was going to say except thanks for all the thought and care that went into the following:
On my birthday a package arrived. I carefully removed the outer wrapping to find a gift beautifully wrapped in silvery pale green paper with a wide lavender and green satin ribbon embracing it. I almost didn't want to open it. But, I did very carefully. Inside I discovered the green juice glasses that I had admired at William Sonoma. I may have said something like "I would kill to have those glasses but I won't pay THAT price," when I last visited William Sonoma with the gift giver.
Does anyone else write blogs and not post them?

I have written a few posts and then not published them too. Maybe some day i will be ready.
ReplyDeleteOver the past year I've written about 40 posts that never made it to publishing. Stuff I really needed to write but didn't have the guts to post. I've saved them all in draft and read through them every once and a while to see if I am ready to post them yet and every once and a while one makes it to the light of day.
ReplyDeleteBut yes - posting is overrated. Writing is not!
I've done that before, held onto a post. After a while I reread them and realize they're not worth posting.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely story about a beautifully wrapped gift.
i write outlines and then never go back. sometimes i lose the feeling i had in the moment...
